Mayumi Suzuki was born in Japan and grew up in a city near Tokyo. She works with photography and video to visualize her introspective view, feelings and dreams rather than documenting the things in the outside world. She received her BFA in Photography from School of Visual Arts in New York city in 2010. She is currently based in New York.
