Travis Mauck is an artist very interested in music and film. He grew up with music, playing sold out concerts in his bedroom on a nightly basis. Eventually he decided to try the real thing, and at 14 he began to play at local clubs via the Hollywood circuit. This lasted for about 7 years before he went on to the Musicians Institute in Hollywood to try his hand at developing music videos through their film program. He learned a lot during his time there and is currently working on developing a production company with his friend, Matt Holwick.
Travis loves all aspects of art and attributes this to his Grandfather’s love for art and photography. Film, however, is slowly consuming his life and he is enjoying every second of it. He looks forward to each new project that comes his way, always putting his best effort into it.

1.) How did you hear about Talenthouse?
I heard about Talenthouse strictly by way of the Creative Invite hosted by Far. (Check out Travis’ amazing submission here)
2.) If you could produce a music video for one major artist, who would it be and why?
If I could produce a music video for any artist it would be the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl is one of my idols he just seems so genuine and it would seem like he would be fun and easy to work with, and Michelle Gondry did the Everlong video which is one of my favorites.
3.) Which film do you believe to be the one every filmmaker must see?
Everyone’s different but if I were to preach a film it’d be Almost Famous or Snatch, really big fan of both those directors and the story. Casablanca is one of my classic favorites and I’m blown away recently by Inception.
4.) What does creativity mean to you?
Creativity is another way to breathe. It’s a release of these ideas that you conjure up in your head and show the rest of the world your imagination and to inspire them to share what’s going on with their head. It’s about putting yourself out there a different way of communicating.
