David ‘Redkay’ Kaiselgruber is a house and electro music producer and DJ from Austria who has always had an interest in music. He can play all forms of the guitar and truly enjoys playing live.
TH: Who or what inspires your music?
DK: There are no bands who really influenced me in my music. I listened Hip Hop only before I started making music by myself, and I’m not doing Hip Hop at all so that’s quite weird actually. I just do my own style of Electro and House. The only thing, which really inspired me, recently is Dirty Electro Tracks, because I like the feeling of this genre a lot. It’s not about the perfect sound, it’s more about trying to make weird and strange sounds, but in a good way, and that’s what influenced me a bit I guess.
TH: What is the first album you ever bought?
DK: That’s hard to answer as well, but if I remember correctly, it was “Dragostea Din Tei ” by O-Zone. I liked this song so much when it came out. And now I can’t understand how I ever could have liked this song!
TH: What is your favorite song right now?
DK: My favorite song is “Pacha on Acid” by Afrojack at the momemt, and for quite a long time already.
TH: What is your dream job?
DK: Well, it would be nice to make money with my music of course, so this means Producer and DJ. But if this doesn’t work, I want to do anything with music as well, and because of my studentship music software is an interesting topic to me.
TH: Do you collect anything?
DK: Except good ideas for new songs? Not really. There isn’t really a thing I could collect. Well, I am a big Star Wars fan, but not one of those who collects Lightsabers. I also play the guitar since 13 years, but I’m not one of those guys who buys a new guitar each week as well. So, the answer is no.’
