Robert Reichert is an artist, singer and music producer who resides in San Gabriel, CA. We had the pleasure of learning some more about his career as an artist and we hope you enjoy it too.
Q: Whom or what inspires your music?
A: Like most song writers, obviously life experience and interpersonal relationships play a huge part in what I write. However, I am often very inspired by films and books. I am an avid reader and usually when I finish a book that really moves me in some way, I find that I am inspired to channel that feeling into music.
Q: If you could perform with any band/musician who would it be?
A: I really love the group Zero 7, they have such creative and original production, and such fantastically emotive singers that they have worked with, for example Sia and Jose Gonzalez. I think it would be awesome to perform or better yet record with them!
Q: What is the most important thing to you as an artist?
A: The most important thing to me as an artist is someone listening to one of my songs and feeling a kinship or empathy that maybe I have been through something they are going through, so they know that someone else has felt that way too. So many times I use music as an escape or therapy when times are tough and it is incredibly cathartic when you are listening to someone else’s words and you realize they understand exactly how you are feeling. I guess it boils down to communication, it is important to me that what I create communicates an emotion to someone else.
Q: What is a common mis-perception about you?
A: I’m not sure really, I guess a few people have asked who sings my songs, not knowing that I do, haha.
Q: How did you hear about Talenthouse?
A: A friend of mine on Facebook entered a Creative Invite and asked people to check out the site. I loved it immediately, the design, the community, the format. I am totally hooked on Talenthouse now
