Wendy Purcell has been selected to receive a photography pass to Catalpa Music Festival in New York City form July 28-29, where she’ll photograph over 40 musical acts and art installations. 2012 marks the first annual Catalpa Festival, set on Randall’s Island in New York.

Headliners include Snoop Dogg, The Black Keys, Felix da Housecat, Girl Talk and The Dirty Heads.

Wendy, a self-declared “Photographer at large” from Asbury Park, New Jersey, will also receive two VIP tickets to the festival and an exclusive feature across the Festival’s social media channels. Her photographs from the event will be featured in the official press pack for Catalpa Festival, where it will be seen by countless media outlets. In addition to her mad photography skills, Wendy is also a writer, artist and painter. She enjoys nature and wildlife photography as well as live event photography.

The Festival has declared Kevin Aranibar the runner-up. Kevin will receive a Catalpa Festival merchandise package and have his submission featured on the Catalpa official Facebook page.
