Nick Duplessis submitted a design that wowed the editorial team at Origin Magazine, and his submission will hit newsstands shortly! Origin Magazine, an innovative publication dedicated to coverage of arts, music, yoga, sustainability, humanitarianism and conscious living, invited artists to redesign the ‘Conscious’ cover of the magazine to demonstrate both their creativity and design skills.

Origin was also looking for the perfect new design director, for which interested artists were to include three excerpts from their portfolio as part of their submission. We’ll have more word for y’all on that in the weeks ahead!

As the winner, Nick will have his design featured across Origin Magazine’s social media channels in addition to its official publication as the July 2012 front cover. Nick is an American director of photography, cinematographer, editor, fashion photographer and writer who also works with animation and digital art.

Nicholena Moon has the distinguished honor of being both the highest-voted artist and Origin Magazine’s official selection for runner up. Nicholena will have her design featured across Origin Magazine’s social media channels and Facebook page and receive $500.

“My passion is telling a story through photography,” Nicholena writes on her Talenthouse profile. Nicholena is an artist, graphic designer, editor, sculptor and photographer from New York.
