A Creative Invite was launched by Papernomad iPad cases using 100% organic, water resistent and recycled materials. We asked our community of designers to create an iPad case that would represent them when traveling.  We wanted the designers to describe their own story on their iPad design.

The Papernomad team, were very drawn to Berat Hocaoğlu‘s iPad case design and chose him as the winner. Now the whole world is able to purchase a Papernomad iPad case design with a breathtaking Istanbul theme.  Let’s take a look at what Berat has to say about his design.

TH: Could you tell us a little about yourself?
Berat: I live in istanbul.  I’ve always been very interested and drawn to art and design. I’m happy to say I graduated as a Graphic Design major.  Along with continuing my graphic design work, I also am a freelance photographer. I hope to continue my education in photography as well. Lastly, I am a person who enjoys creating new annd exciting projects and designs. I love to be able to bring excitement into my designs.

TH: How did you hear about the Papernomad Creative Invite? Could you tell us the story behind your winning design? 
Berat:  I found out aobut the Papernomad Creative Invite through Talenthouse. First off, I was excited and happy to hear that my work was going to be a part of  an international platform. When it comes to my design, all I can really say is that if one is truly passionate about graphic designing, they are able to tell if their design is right. A graphic designer can feel that they are doing the right thing when designing.  It was important for me to be able to show of my thoughts and inner feelings in my design. I wanted to create something original. The city Istanbul and it’s fascinating colors gave me the inspiration to create this design.  I wanted to bring out the liveliness, and energy of Istanbul. For example, I used only a part of a young boy’s body dancing. I intended to do this in order to capture exciting features. I tried not to use to much, but explain a lot in my design.
