Tomorrow is the first day of autumn here in the northern hemisphere and the seasons are changing. Leaves are changing color and the days are getting shorter.

On to the updates!

Creative Invites and Winner Announcements

The Treasure Island Music Festival here in San Francisco is coming up in October and you have the chance to photograph it. Set right in the Bay and featuring acts like M83, Imperial Teen, and Public Enemy (to name 3 out of 26!) it’s an amazing venue with some awesome bands lined up.

Global Citizen will honor Eva Alvarez‘s photograph at their festival in New York. A touching piece called ‘Love’, it portrays a simple but powerful act of affection.

DJ Zack Hanni (a.k.a. Somaaa) will be playing both nights of the Starry Nights Festival in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

We had quite the event with AMC and their video contest. Well, here are the winners!

The Palo Alto International Film Festival is coming up quick, and we’re actually hosting a few events here. Chris Lam is the winner of their recent Creative Invite. You can see his video before the event!

Success Stories

Tom Leishman told us about his work with McFly, winning the Maroon 5 CI, designing clothes, and  his work as quite an accomplished photographer.

Bestival as passed and TEED performed sporting a new headdress designed by Natalie Wooller, who was the winning designer of that Creative Invite. We talked with her about what inspired her creation, her work, and her hopes for the future.

Jessie Dee is a photographer with real ambition. She knows that in order to get what it is you want, you have to be willing to work for it. She talked about that, as well as the Creative Invite for Dev that brought her work to the spotlight.

Inspiration and Cool Stuff

We’ve recently partnered with the online community Tribe of Noise. They have created a way to highlight musicians from around the world and give them the chance to be heard by a larger audience, as well as the opportunity to profit from it. Want to learn more? We got to chat with them.

Another post has gone up featuring a bevy of beautiful time-lapse videos. Meditative in their beauty and jaw-dropping visually, it’s a good way to pass some time.

Like Bob Marley? Who doesn’t? Here are more artistic tributes to his song ‘One Love’.

Here are even more tips about taking pictures with your phone. It features some of the work by National Geographic photographer, Cotton Coulson and his inspiring eye.

Following up from the last four strings of awesome post, we feature four more covers of unforgettable songs by The Beatles.

So long for now!

Have a relaxing weekend and rejuvenate that creative spirit!
