The springtime festival season has just kicked off with a bang as Ultra Music Festival 2013 started this last weekend in Miami and Austin, Texas mainstay South by Southwest 2013 just came to a close.
Ultra Music Festival in Miami, one of the largest EDM shows with a record 165,000 attendees last year, kicked off this past weekend with a star studded and jaw drooping line up. Artists Talenthouse has collaborated with on Creative Invites, including our favorite twins NERVO, Deadmau5, Crookers, Hardwell all were in attendance and Krewella will be playing next weekend for the second half of the festival. Admire the winning design in our Nervo and Miami tank top design contest here.
Swedish House Mafia, the group which includes Steve Angello, who collaborated on a creative invite with DJ photographer Rukes, is ending their One Last Tour at Ultra, with their final show as a group opening and closing the festival. Angello had a busy weekend as he also headlined Beyond Wonderland 2013 in Southern California the same weekend. Check out the winning submission to our Steve Angello and Rukes Creative invite here.
Other major headliners include wildly popular DJs David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Avicii, Tiesto, Kaskade, Afrojack, Steve Aoki among others. Keep your eyes on this weekend’s shows and watch the live stream of the world’s most talented EDM artists online here.
If you’re missing out on Ultra, we recommend making your way over to Lollapalooza, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Coachella which will all all offer enticing EDM lineups as well as a variety of genres. We promise you’ll have an amazing time.
Lollapalooza, features EDM talents such as Bassnectar, Avicii, Justice, Kaskade, Calvin Harris, Nero, Delta Spirit, and Porter Robinson among others and is in Chicago so anyone in the midwest should not miss out. This stellar lineup is taking the stage August 2nd through the 4th, 2013. Be sure to check out the winning design from our Creative Invite with Lollapalooza to design their official festival shirt.
Electric Daisy Carnival, launching this year on June 21st in Las Vegas, is the biggest EDM music event in America with over 185,000 people in attendance in 2010. Although the lineup has yet to be announced, we’re expecting it to be major with past performers including the likes of Afrojack, Avicii, Benny Benassi, Calvin Harris, Datsik, David Guetta, and others.
Coachella, alternately known as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is coming up soon, with the first weekend starting on April 12th and the festival ending April 21st. EDM fans will appreciate the lineup this year, which features artists such as Bassnectar, Passion Pit, Wolfgang Gartner, Knife Party, Major Lazer, Pretty Lights, Eric Prydz, Excision and more.
